COMMENTARY: by Concert Art Shows Saint Pierre with an announcement that "9 Mile Skid" will be performing in Ventura. The group was originally recommended by Ellen James. The genre is specialty, Grateful Dead Tribute. Boys in the band will feature electric bass guitar artist, Evan Grosswirth, guitarist, Paddy Marsh, lead guitarist, Roy Katnic, with keyboard artist, JP Hesser, and multi- talented creative percussionist, Chris Jensen on drums. I will be joining them Live At Bombay for a short music video clip and an updated fb review for PR. 9 Mile Skid is the best Grateful Dead tribute band in the entire region. The ensemble consists of some of Ventura's best seasoned musicians. Vocals are so- so for an older generation band (tonight's audition will be vocal revaluation/ redetermination) ... but then again... even the original Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia had better vocal capability early on in his carreer. Tonight you will enjoy the professional instrumentation & jammin' skills of this great tribute band. It makes for a great night out.... SEE YA THERE...

"THE TOP BEST BANDS LIST" is a selective guide toward the best performance bands in our community. Live random unscheduled auditions are the determination process for the list. Criteria includes selection of songs within their genre, audio quality, ratio of vocals & instrumentation, professionalism of musicianship, lighting, connection/ communication with the audience, originality of music content, quality of original songs, and especially taking ownership (so to speak) of any cover songs performed. Also in the determination is the quality of any CD recording offered at any show, and the PR efforts by the band on Facebook, web site, and other social media. Current and accurate show schedule updates are required by each band as well.
CONCERT ART SHOWS: We are proud to present our non-profit organization 501 (c) (3). Every show is for the worthy cause that benefits the artists and helps needy kids! Audiences relax and enjoy our art exhibits and live performances. Donations raise funds for needy kid scholarships through accelerated education in the visual & performing arts. These extraordinarily gifted youth are 9- 19 years old. The shows feature emerging opportunities to introduce gifted entertainment to the community. The demographic of fans, friends, family, and concert-goers extends from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara. Our main base is primarily from greater Ventura County.
