 NEW BEGINNINGS: Gold + Gray formulated their concept in mid January 2016 on the rooftop of the main parking structure in downtown Ventura, California. After a month of playing acoustic street performance style music almost every night, they decided they wanted to perform their music to it's full potential. The band rearranged a living room as a rehearsal studio. They then bought amps, guitars, microphones, a Yamaha drum set and began their new music journey. In a very short time, they created a new buzz genre of alternate original rock songs. Their sound is unique, organic and fun. The band is extremely excited to share their artistic sound with all their new fans, friends, & family. Whether you like to dance or sit back and listen to their melodic story songs, you are bound to appreciate this new found music love & enthusiasm.

MUSIC REVIEW & COMMENTARY: by Saint Pierre Concert Art Shows auditioning a new fresh young band to the City Of Ventura. Singer songwriter, Devin Johnson, leads the way through purposeful original arrangements. Other trio band members include Cory Stevens and Christopher Lee. What I like about this band is the excessive motivation to succeed in the music business. The group has a significant following which the venues should appreciate. The audience specifically came for the Gold + Gray Band performance tonight, even Christian Toler from Amigos made an appearance. Their CD Release party was at Amigos Cantina in the month of May 2016. I have had this second audition on my calendar for two months. Devon has attended the University of Rhode Island Business School. Hey.... Rhode Island is my original home state. Check out their new EP Album recorded at Lion City Studio, called "Inside Break". It contains 7 original energetic songs: "Surf's Up, Portland!", "Pancake House", "Al's Tavern", "Mr. Skeleton", "Amargosa", "Kurz And Beschissen", and their title song, "Inside Break". The band is young, motivated, energetic, and new, which makes them different than the same old thing... Their plan is to perform about once per month in Ventura without cross booking venues which is the smart thing to do, once they feel out just the right stage. They are already booking in the regional circuit like Bakersfield, Los Angeles, etc. Check their original alternative rock genre. And take their music home to support their efforts! YEAH....

"Top Best Bands List" is a selective guide toward the best performance bands in our community. Live random unscheduled auditions are the determination process for the list. Criteria includes selection of songs within their genre, audio quality, ratio of vocals & instrumentation, professionalism of musicianship, lighting, connection, communication, and engagement with the audience, originality of music content, quality of original songs, and especially taking ownership (so to speak) of any cover songs performed. Also in the determination is the quality of any CD recording offered at any show, and the PR efforts by the band on Facebook, web site, and other social media.

CONCERT ART SHOWS: We are non-profit organization 501 (c) (3). Every show is our worthy cause that benefits the artists and helps the kids! Audiences relax and enjoy our performances. Our web site raises funds for art student needy kid scholarships. The performances feature emerging artists to introduce gifted entertainment to the entire community. The demographic of fans extends to concert-goers from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara counties. Our  main base of fans, friends, and family is primarily from greater Ventura County.
