ESSAY #2 Lucy Jane MUSIC AND ART FOR YOUTH
The poet “Franz Cizek” put a special spot in my heart just for him. That quote
that he created just moved me. Even though I already realized that long, long
ago, It still made me think: how could anyone dislike child art, it’s beautiful,
it’s precious, it’s special, and it’s magical. It is the beginning of a
beautiful artist who soon will become someone great.
Not many people believe or trust what I just wrote, but that just means that
they don’t have very much of an imagination, but that’s them. What’s more pure
than child art? Adults have have decades of being jaded from the world, they
don’t see things as purely as a child. A child sees magic in the snow, sees
wonder in the rain, sees joy in everything. Children don’t have decades to
disappoint then. Say a little girl drew a dog, it might have no snout or maybe
three legs, but it is still pure, it is still beautiful. No one should have the
right to crush that or criticize it. Child art is the gift not many people have
anymore. It’s sad, yes, but it is still the way it is. We are lucky to still
have young children who still have that pure innocence.
THAT IS WHAT I BELIEVE.
