COMMENTARY: by Saint Pierre Concert Art Shows enjoying a warm summer kind of night on Main Street. I captured a short music video clip in an intimate show night Thursday "Guitar Pull" performance on the roof at W2o Watermark Restaurant. It was about a hot 80 degrees anywhere in the place... I positioned myself with a tall cold margarita... and created an outdoor patio cool night breeze seat under the doorway right side of the band. Jeff Silbar is the author of the great platinum song, "Wind Beneath My Wings" that is performed tonight in the second set. Leading the band is performing artist, local celebrity, Shawn Jones with master acoustic guitar & soaring vocals. Shawn shared at least one song from his newest album to be released soon. Shawn& Jeff have co- written a significant number of interesting songs together. Also appearing in this show is one of the best featured acoustic lead guitarists in Southern California, Mr. Joe Baugh. There is magic in the air for everyone in the small intimate audience. It's a singer songwriters showcase, Guitar Pull hosted by Mark & Kathy Hartley.... AMAZING.... but sad to say.... it's the last Thursday performance of the season... It's a show that captures the pure artistry of original music in Ventura. THE WORD IS OUT!!! After speaking to Shawn tonight, he is leaving on a jet plane for a tour in the United Kingdom. In speaking with Jeff Silber, he said that his next dream project is a full orchestra concert of his greatest life's achievement of his original songs. He mentioned this with possibly a couple of celebrity headliners in the show. We explored the possibility of hosting it at the WAV (Working Artists Ventura) indoor/ outdoor venue, or possibly the Pasadena Playhouse. Let me just say that it's like Heaven on Main tonight!!! Great being out here!

"Top Best Bands List" is a selective guide toward the best performance bands in our community. Live random unscheduled auditions are the determination process for the list. Criteria includes selection of songs within their genre, audio quality, ratio of vocals & instrumentation, professionalism of musicianship, lighting, connection/ communication with the audience, originality of music content, quality of original songs, and especially taking ownership (so to speak) of any cover songs performed. Also in the determination is the quality of any CD recording offered at any show, and the PR efforts by the band on Facebook, web site, and other social media.

CONCERT ART SHOWS: We are non-profit 501 (c) (3). Every show is our worthy cause that benefits the artists and helps the kids! Audiences relax and enjoy our performances. Reservations and ticket donations on our web site raise funds for art student needy kid scholarships. The performances feature emerging artists to introduce gifted entertainment to the entire community. The demographic of fans extends to concert-goers from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara counties. Our  main base of fans, friends, and family is primarily from greater Ventura County. Suggested ticket donations are kept at low reasonable amounts so that all may come and enjoy the events.
