Artist Biography: Jim Heltsley

GRADUATED FROM CHIEF SEALTH H.S. SEATTLE WA 1975
ATTENDED HIGHLINE C.C. GRAPHIC DESIGN, SCULPTURE, AND PRINT MAKING
ATTENDED SOUTH SEATTLE C. C. DRAFTING AND DESIGN
ATTENDED WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY INDUSTRIAL DESIGN AND SCULPTYRE

In the past he WORKED AS A CABINET MAKER, STAINED GLASS ARTIST, GRAPHIC DESIGNER, PRODUCTION ART SUPERVISOR, TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATOR, AND LANDSCAPE DESIGNER. Since June 2012, he has been INVOLVED WITH THE STUDIO TOUR AND ARTWALK AT ARTCITY STUDIOS, THE CHRISTMAS SHOW AT THE ARTIST UNION GALLERY AND LATELY AT ART BY THE SEA IN FRONT OF AUG.

History Of The Artist:  He took his FIRST STONE SCULPTURE CLASS IN 1999 AT THE COUPEVILLE ART CENTER, WHIDBEY ISLAND, WA. IN THE NEXT 18 MONTHS he ATTENDED WORKSHOPS AT SILVER FALLS (twice), ORE, CAMP BROTHERHOOD, MT. VERNON, WA. AND ART CITY, VENTURA, CA.AS WELL AS NUMEROUS WORKSHOPS WITH N.W. STONE SCULPTORS BRIAN BERMAN AND NICKY OBERHOLTZER. He ATTENDED THE EDMONDS SCULPTURE WORKSHOP WEEKLY FOR 3 YEARS. SINCE THEN He has PRODUCED HUNDREDS OF PIECES BIG AND SMALL THAT he has DISPLAYED AND SOLD AT VARIOUS GALLERIES IN EDMONDS, SEATTLE, AND TACOMA, WA. CANON BEACH AND LAKE OSWEGO, ORE. AND CRAIG, ALASKA. He has SOLD art AT THE SATURDAY MARKET, EDMONDS, WA. He PARTICIPATED IN ARTWALKS IN EDMONDS AND SEATTLES PIONEER SQUARE, THE STUDIO TOUR IN BOTH EDMONDS AND PORT TOWNSEND, WA. Jim has HOSTED DOZENS OF STUDIO SHOWS AT his EDMONDS STUDIO AND GARDEN.

The Concert Art Shows are produced by Saint Pierre & based in Downtown Ventura in the Cultural Arts District. Established in 2009, our mission is the convergence of the visual arts & the performing arts together. The shows started touring on the road throughout Southern California in 2012. Enjoy gourmet dinner and drinks for your pleasure. Proceeds benefit the artists and our non- profit cause: Music & Art For Youth". The stage, the art, and our venue are pictured above.
